Applications for entry to most QUT undergraduate courses are made through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC).
Queensland and the equivalent interstate Year 12 students apply through the
QTAC interactive telephone service or Twelve to Tertiary online service. All
other applicants apply via the web at www.qtac.edu.au
on the QTAC Study Application Form. The QTAC Guide to tertiary courses is distributed
to Queensland schools and newsagents.
Additional entry requirements
Some of QUT's courses have additional entry requirements such as an interview,
folio, audition, skills-based exercises or questionaire.
Creative

Deferment
QUT allows Year 12 school leavers to defer their undergraduate admission offer
for one year, or for six months if offered mid-year admission, except in courses
using specific admission requirements such as questionnaires, folios, auditions,
prior study or work experience.
More information about QTAC deferment is on the Student Services website.
Assumed Knowledge
QUT has introduced a number of admission schemes to streamline entry into QUT. Mandatory subject prerequisites have been replaced with the Assumed Knowledge scheme.
OP Guarantee
The OP Guarantee means an Overall Position of
1-5 for eligible applicants guarantees a place in more than 100 QUT courses,
regardless of cut-off scores from previous years.
